I must apologise for the three week break between posts. I have been a busy lady, with two girls weekends away and lots of work to do. Fashion and blogging has not been far from my mind though.
I went on a bit of a crazy shopping spree this week. Thanks to City Chic and their members sale offer, I got 30% off on full price and sale items. I bought ten things. One of the items I purchased was a lovely skirt, a signature spring piece. I am quite in love with it. I wore it to work yesterday, as a kind of casual Friday I don't want to dress like a generic lawyer outfit. My boss loved it, she said I was bringing 50's retro back. I do love my boss and the lovely comments she makes about my clothes and accessories :)
The skirt is a fantastic mix of floral, pastel, pops of colour and geometric shapes. here it is...

This was my Friday work outfit and I really felt like I was stepping in to Spring. I felt pretty and feminine and I love how City Chic clothes can make me feel that way. Yes, the skirt is City Chic. I am wearing an off white three quarter puff sleeve shirt underneath the pink cardi. I love this card, it is from SES and what I like about SES cardi's is that they are inexpensive and come in a range of colours. I have three cardi's the same as the pink one and every time I go to Sydney for work I buy another colour.
I had so many ideas throughout the day on how this skirt could be worn... So of course I decided to host my own fashion show in the comfort of my own home on a Friday afternoon...
Ensemble 2 |
Here I have chosen a collared shirt with lace on the shoulders. The spearmint colour of the shirt compliments the skirt nicely and I think it accentuates the other colours. This can also be a casual Friday work outfit, afternoon tea ensemble, a day out at the shops. The bag I am holding is from Forever New, also another sale purchase from a few weeks ago.
Ensemble 3 |
I have dressed it up a bit here by adding a delicate lace top (I apologise for the tag peeping over my shoulder), some mint heels and matching clutch. The top was another of my 30% off purchases this week. Another item I am happy with.

And now we have the party outfit, the garden party, a wedding outfit, the outfit Du Jour...

The strapless top I am wearing here is the Deep V Corset top, also a City Chic item and also one of my 30% off purchases. It is fantastic! I am seriously considering this ensemble as the outfit I will wear to a wedding in February next year.
I really think that spearmint, mint, pastel green is the colour of spring. It is fresh and inviting.
So that concludes my fashion show for now. I have a lot of other goodies to show off in the next few weeks ;).
Thanks for reading lovelies!
